Earlier today I posted a response to a question about a Seagate controller. That response was correct, but incomplete. (list of boards deleted) The info posted is correct, but those are not Seagate's controllers. They are all made by Western Digital. They will operate with most ST412 (ie: common interface) drives on the market, given the correct encoding format. The 1006 series are especially nice, having on-board track buffers. Typical HD transfer rates for the 1006 series are ~450KB/second for MFM and 650KB/second for RLL units.
