[comp.sys.ibm.pc] How to differentiate Gray +/- from regular +/-?

Does anybody know how to differentiate the Gray +/- (Numeric keypad) keys from
the +/- keys in a C program. Interrupt 16 in BIOS does not return a 
separate scan code for either of the keys. Can the BIOS be modified
(temporarily-during the execution of the program) to return separate
a scan code?
