Does anybody have any experience with luggable Corona PC clones (specifically the ROM BIOS)? I have a friend that would like to upgrade from DOS 2.11 to 3.3 or similar, plus use an EGA card and monitor, but his BIOS version is too early (at least for the EGA - I'm not sure what's involved with changing over to DOS 3.3, although I suspect the Coronas had a weird memory structure that caused problems if you added more than 512K of RAM.) Does anybody know of a source of BIOS chips? Is it possible to use plain vanilla ROMs, say from Phoenix etc.? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Please e-mail replies, and if there's enough interest (which would surprise me), I'll post a summary. Thanks. _________________________________________________________ |Mike Riley Internet: miker@csupwb.ucc.colostate.edu | | Bitnet: miker@csugreen.bitnet |
