We run wordperfect 5.0 on an IBM 55SX PS2 computer. The 55sx computers (4) are connected to a SUN-based ethernet using PCNFS, although that's not relevant. Anyway, when we print a document with line drawing/font changes to the NEC LC890 printer, it can take > 1 hour to print?!?!; This is when the NEC LC890 is in POSTSCRIPT BATCH mode. If we reconfig the NEC to LASERJET mode, a very similiar document takes <1minute to come out. By very similiar I mean that the laserjet mode doesn't support the full features of postscript mode. We have taken this up with WORDPERFECT but they said it was the nature of the document, the printer and memory within the printer. The local PC support people in our company are now trying to figure this out. Any ideas? many, many thanks, joec@morgan.com
