I have a machine that runs both Windows 286/2.1 and Oracle 5.1a. We are doing different developement work for windows and oracle. My problem is that when one leaves windows to run oracle, windows evidently doesn't clean up its extended memory areas and oracle thinks that all the extended memory is used up. Is there anyway around this? Even a warm boot does not fix the problem (memory not erased). I have to do a cold boot. What a pain. I was thinking of a program like FMARK and RELEASE to take snap shots of memory, but I need something that will do it in the config.sys and also that will handel extended and expanded memory. Any ideas anyone??? Patrick D. Champion My views are purely my own of course. University of Pittsburgh Epidemiology Data Coordinating Center pdccs@unix.cis.pitt.edu
