[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Serial Port Network

I'm looking for either of 2 things:

1) a full networking system that works via serial ports and doesn't
require and cards to be installed, 

or

2) some software that will install NETBIOS which uses the serial port for
the data transfer.

Any help is appreciated.
