[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Vertex 386 Machine

I just acquired at Vertex '386 box that seems to be an incredible
bargain. I got a system with 20 Mhz chip, 1 Mb RAM, 40Mb disk,
1.2 Mb floppy, 2 Serial/1Parallel/1Game port card, NEC Multisync
color monitor, VGA adaptor, and MS-DOS 4.0, all for the grand total of $2395.

So far (after three weeks) the machine works perfectly. No problems of
any kind. The packaging is fairly compact so the machine fits on my
home work desk without dominating it.

I have no idea why the Vertex machine is so much less expensive than
other offerings. Perhaps it is the fact that they don't advertise.
Their support on the other hand seems pretty good.
