Do not even LOOK at the TIME or Newsweek articles on E.T. --- certainly don't READ them until you see E.T. The TIME article is very nice, and the guy really properly appreciates E.T. and Brother Spielberg, but he gives away practically everything. And they DO have pictures with the article... E.T. is magical. You should go as an innocent child, not knowing what is going to happen. That is all anyone should say to you before you have seen it. Frank Capra, at the recent AFI tribute to him, pleaded with new filmmakers. ``Don't follow trends. Set them. Follow your heart.'' or words close to that. He's gotta love this movie, and Steven. The TIME magazine review of both POLTERGEIST and E.T. does reveal a bit too much. Never the less, both movies absolutely blew me away. I was fortunate enough to see both sneak previews and plan to see them again, many, many times. Talk about emotional drain--whewwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
