[comp.sys.ibm.pc] RF AT Keyboard? XT/AT Keyboard converter?

mark@intek01.UUCP (Mark McWiggins) (09/13/89)

I have an old XT that is currently held together with chewing gum and
baling wire, and would like in coming months to upgrade to a new AT386.
But I have this Cherry RF keyboard that I really enjoy; I can sit across
the room from my TV/monitor and use it (as I'm doing right now.)

The keyboard is unfortunately made for use with either the XT or the PCjr,
but not the AT. (it just dawns on me that this could be the same as the AT,
but I doubt it). So I need some other RF keyboard that's made for the AT,
or an XT-to-AT keyboard converter.

Any leads on either of these would be MOST appreciated. Thanks in advance.

For those wondering if I got my WordStar 5.0 to print properly here is an
 update:

Yes WS 5.0 will print but only after I issue No Background printing. Since
I couldn't figure it out. I selected IRQ 5 instead of IRQ 7, and
didn't help. Also tried the other Switchs on the card for Addresses.
This didn't help either. PC_Outline wouldn't print, so I am currently
using it by printing to disk and then using MS-DOS 4.01 to print.

Did anyone else come across a similar problem, solution??

The only thing I haven't tried is getting a new printer cable, but
if MSDOS works shouldn't PC-Outline?? How would a programmer
make it not compatible, is it possible to do?? Do I have a bad
copy???
