[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Need recommendation for Turbo-C library

dougs@videovax.tv.Tek.com (Doug Stevens) (09/14/89)

I'm looking for a good commercially-available library for use with
Turbo-C. Ideally, the library should have these characteristics:

**** very important ** somewhat important
*** important * now very important

**** high quality: no critical bugs, few non-critical bugs
		(with work-arounds).

**** graphic mode support: CGA, VGA, EGA, Herc. High-speed.
Text in graphics mode. Windows in graphic mode.

**** should NOT have to run under a different CLI than command.com
(ie, don't want to have to load in an environment like
		Windows or Desqview before running).

*** source code availability: if I have problems, I'd like
to be able to analyze what's being done in the library.

*** menu support: at least Lotus-style. The library should ideally
support both use of mouse and use of keyboard for menus.
If necessary, I can get by with keyboard-only.

** cost/licensing: should have a reasonable cost for distribution
of ~100 units/year of executables which link in the
		library.

I'd appreciate any comments relating to the above on libraries they've used
(Greenleaf, Solution Systems C-worthy, Blaise, Entelekon, Oakland group
C-scape, Vitamin-C, etc).
