[net.movies] more on Mister for Saavik

I thought the 'Mister' designation was either some kind of
rank equivalent, as previous articles have said, or a
Federation prefix for Vulcans (superseded by high ranks
like 'Ambassador' in the episode with Spock's father).

However, the first choice has a problem:
If the 'Mister' was a naval ranking, why was Uhura often
referred to a Lieutenant Uhura in the old TV episodes?

It might just be that the moviemakers were being non-sexist
to the extreme (life in the future ...), and didn't mind that
doing so is not consistent with the old episodes. That goes
along with the costume changes for women.
