I have a friend who has a Tandy 1000SX with 2-360K floppies, a 20M internal hard drive, a 286 accelerator card, serial card, and an internal modem. The hard drive is controlled by a card in one of the slots and, I assume, the floppies are controlled by a controller on the motherboard. Therefore 4 of the 5 expansion slots are filled. He would like to add an external 1.44M disk drive, but has been told by several vendors that this is impossible. Does anyone know why this would not work? Couldn't he just add another floppy controller that would support a 1.44M floppy, and has a port comming out the back to connect to the drive? Any thoughts E-mailed or posted would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Matt. ---------------- Matt Henry NR3M (412) 443-5071 ...![allegra, bellcore, cadre, idis, psuvax1]!pitt!cisunx!nr3m NR3M@PITTUNIX nr3m@unix.cis.pitt.edu
