[comp.sys.ibm.pc] remote pc operation

mike@vice.ICO.TEK.COM (Mike Mueller) (09/15/89)

I'm interested in using my pc at work from my home system via
modem. Can anyone recommend software for this application?
Is anyone familiar with remote^2 or PC Anywhere software?

Recommendations or pointers to information are both welcome.

I seem to enjoy Carbon Copy Plus. It will do everything I have ever
needed. Networking, editors, disk maintenance, etc. You you should look
  into this piece of software.

PC Anywhere is another fantastic program, that allows remote operation of
your system. It will run everything that I have tried. It also seems to
rate VERY high in most magazines.

We chose PC Anywhere. Remote 2 has better graphics support, but it uses
more memory and is slower. PC Anywhere takes 40k of memory on the host and
can even control Desqview multitasking remotely!
