I'm trying to adapt PC Nethack v2.3e so it is "safe" to run as an on-line game under the Opus BBS software. To do this, I plan on taking out potentially dangerous commands (such as "!"), and changing commands that can't be used over a serial line (for instance, if you try a "^P", your system will trap that as a request to start echoing everything to the printer, and the remote will never see it...). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the sources to PC Nethack. I imagine that they are probably distributed as a 'diff' or 'patch' file, since there shouldn't be too much to change. Does anybody have this available for FTP? How about UUCP or mail servers? Heck, I'd settle for the log-onto-BBS-and-download-file routine... I don't know what happened to that last response, but here goes again... A friend of mine gets the updated source from Simtel20, and it is H U G E! I believe there are at least 9 parts to the complete setup - I don't know how many megabytes except more than one. Incidently, I believe I heard him say that v3.0 or something like that is now available.
