I saw E.T. last night, and wanted to add my approval to the film. It is well done, if a bit emotional (as Spielburg's alien films seem to be). You should suspend any preconcived beliefs and enjoy the film. One thing I would like to know: Why was ET sick? Did he live because of something the doctors did (not my impression at all), because of the sudden freezing, because of the proximity of his spacecraft, or none of the above? Any theories?
