One of the new features of MS-DOS version 4 is the "serial number" assigned to each disk. How does one access the serial number on a DOS4 disk? I'd like to write a diskette cataloging program which makes use of the serial number. A thousand thank-yous in advance, Scott kubla@uiuc.edu

If there is no version number after the volume label then it was not formated with DOS 4.x Chris
