In response to your message of Tue Jun 15 08:11:38 1982: CLASH OF THE TITANS was probably left off the list because it was an unbelievably bad picture. A lot of money spent on names in unidimensional roles, a couple of unknown incompetents in the major dramatic roles, a diabetically cute imitation of R2D2, special effects straight out of the 40's (apparently Harryhausen likes the old-style, jerky stop-motion animation and tries to jazz it up by having more things moving rather than by making the movement more realistic; there were also some other effects (one of the rear-projection/animation combinations, for instance) that were so badly done as to destroy any suspension of disbelief even in my relatively relatively inexperienced sight). I've seen quite a few Harryhausen movies, and considering CotT as such it's the worst or second-worst he's done; considering that this was supposed to be a blockbuster movie, it's among the worst of the decade.
