This seems to be a particularly good month for HBO for comedies. Three which are worth a second seeing are 'Stripes' (lots of Saturday Night comedy a la Bill Murray), 'Private Benjamin' (with Goldie Hawn making the movie much better than the plot would lead one to believe it could be, i.e., it is NOT warmed over Gomer Pyle, USMC, tho the TV show is), and Silver Streak (classic Gene Wilder / Jill Clayburg / Richard Preyor). The very most that can be said for 'Stripes' is that it resembles TV. 'Silver Streak' and 'Private Benjamin' are OK but easily forgettable. Try 'Soldier Girls'; it's funny, real, and out-grosses John Belushi imitating a pimple. Mike Henry
