We've got Novell 286 (SFT v2.15) running on a Zenith 386 machine. Things have been ok except for the fact that when we use Excel from within Windows (on a 286 Zenith client) and try to print. The file (spreadsheet) to be printed does get dumped to the spooler on the server and then onwards to the Apple Laserwriter (hooked up to the serial port of the 386 server) but the Laserwriter refuses to kick, i.e start printing. But once one quits the Excel application the last file that was sent to the Laserwriter churns out fine and dandy. Seems to me that the Laserwriter requires some kind of end-of-file character which does not get sent until one quits Excel? If so what character code is it and how can I make sure it is appended at the end of each print job? Could there be another reason - has anyone else experianced similar problems with Novell v2.15? ..PJ PS: Please email me any suggestions and I'll summarize.
