The recent comments about the traumatic scenes in Bambi prompt me to note a common thread in the Walt Disney animated movies. They all had some extremely scary scenes. Remember the witch in Snow White. I also think of Night on Bald Mountain in Fantasia and a very scary rearing witch in Sleeping Beauty. The theory was that the terror was cathartic. Guess it was also traumatic. Charles
