In response to your message of Sat Jun 19 11:36:46 1982: That's DARK CRYSTAL, a movie by Jim Henson, Frank Oz, et al., scheduled for Christmas release. A fantasy with some predictable fantasy elements but very little of what we'd call magic. All of the players are Muppets (although H&O refuse to call them that). I've seen previews twice and expect it to be stunning simply to have that many kinds of creatures really moving (since they aren't doing stunt things like having them ride bicycles much of the action was shot in real time and location---no matte lines, no stop-motion problems). The plot would take some time to tell but if people are interested I might cudgel my brains for something (last time I saw the preview was 3 months ago). For those of you who are SF fans, Henson will be at Chicon IV (40th World SF convention) over Labor Day.
