Hello Networld. I checked my computers C: drive the other day, using DISKSCAN (or SCANDISK) from PC Magazine. It reported some bad sectors I knew about, but then it also reported CRC-errors on sectors in use. Can anyone tell me what to do about CRC errors? Is there a (simple) way to fix them, or do I have to erase the programs who are using the sectors (how do I find the programs in the first place) and then write them all over again? Will the same sectors get the same CRC error again?, I should maybe mark them bad for my future protection? (How do I mark a sector bad?) And so on. Life is so difficult sometimes. I'd be extremely grateful for all help. Email, please. This group is too crowded already. I'll summarize if there is interest for the subject.
