[comp.sys.ibm.pc] System V 5 1/4" floppy format

olsen@eecs.nwu.edu (Jeffrey S. Olsen) (10/06/89)

I need to find out the structure of a Un*x System V formatted 5 1/4" floppy
disk for Microport or Xenix versions. Any infomation (super block
structure, etc.) is appreciated.

Thanks,

This should be documented in your programmers reference manual in sections
4 or 5, depending on the manual set. The file system superblock will
be documented on the fs man page and usually there is an inode man page
that documents the manual page.

More verbose information is *probably* in the Bach book: "The Design of the
Unix Operating System".
