[comp.sys.ibm.pc] rails, screws, floppy cables, etc.

wcf@psuhcx.psu.edu (Bill Fenner) (10/09/89)

This is a plea, to those people who purchase these things on a regular basis...
I'm basically in charge of the service department of a computer store, and
we're desperately low on standard black plastic AT rails. Drive screws
(both coarse and fine) are a needed item, too, as are floppy cables. Anyone
who can tell me where to get this kind of stuff in relatively large quantities
(I.E. I'm not building my own computers, but I'm adding to *lots*) will earn
my forever gratitude.

On a personal note, I'm looking for an AT-style case for my XT. At least 3
open half-height slots and 2 more (open or hidden) half-height slots are a
must. A neat-o control panel, with the standard ol' keyboard lock, power
light, turbo light, and reset switch will do... although I'd like a keylock
reset switch (like the NEC PowerMate 2)... either a keylock in series with
a pushbutton, so I can just lock it out, or a keylock for the actual reset
switch would be neat. XT-design motherboard support placement is a must.

  Thanks in advance,

    Bill
