NOTE: This is a request for confirmation one direction or another, not a legititmate bug. From an at-times-unreliable source, I've heard something about a problem with PC-Tools 5.5's MIRROR program with drives above a certain size. A friend recently purchased a '386 machine with an 85 meg SCSI drive, running DOS 4.0. Someone at the store where he purchased it claims that v5.5 of MIRROR has a bug causing it to trash the FAT on drives above a certain size. Has anyone else heard of this, is it completely unfounded, or? Also, has anyone had any success running MIRROR with DOS 4.0 and partions of larger than 32 megs? I've personally been using MIRROR since v5.0 came out (DOS 3.3, 20 meg drive) without any problems. -Kevin Trojanowski troj@umaxc.weeg.uiowa.edu trojpg@uiamvs.bitnet trojanowski@iowasp.physics.uiowa.edu
