Hi ! I'm new to this group so forgive me if this has already been hashed out. A good friend is looking for a XT clone for her son. $$ are important BUT... so is TRUE compatability, reliability, etc. etc. SO, my query is who makes the best IBM XT compat ? Is it better to shop around and piece together the cheapest possible, or just go ahead and buy one already built. (by the way, she said she was looking for: 640 K at least 2 floppys [ maybe a 20 meg HD if $$$ permit] monochrome is enough for now [ color is expen$ive] serial port ) Thanx in advance, Rob Send comments/ suggestions/ flames/ cash to: Rob Armitage Bill the Cat _ /\ Carnegie Mellon University Aack! \'o.O' <RA1D+@ANDREW.CMU.EDU> =(___)= Remember: More people are caused U by accidents then killed by them. * Phht!
