[comp.sys.ibm.pc] '386 Zenith Turbosport laptops to be discontinued?

PC Week has a 'briefly noted' item this week:

..Zenith Data Systems is halting production of its TurbosPort 386
laptop, according to a firm that purchased 5,000 units from Zenith..

Why? Here's 2 guesses:

 a) It's only temporary...
 b) They also just sold the Data Systems (computer) division to a
French company, Groupe Bull because Zenith (the whole company) is
not profitable, and maybe the Turbosport isn't, either.
 c) NEC's and others' 386 laptops are better. Zenith was offering
    $500 rebates on the T-sport.

Another mag noted that they were planning to release a newer version
of the sport when the division was sold. Too bad to see one of the few
innovative companies left in the US go down the tubes.

Other rumor has it that they tried to sell the TV business and no one
wanted it at any price, so they sold the profitable part to get money to
spend on the unprofitable part. Bah!
