Of all the real horror movies my parents took me to when I was little "Bambi" was the worst. To this day I think it was a terrible thing they did-- a burning tree fell on Bambi's mommy. What kind of a thing is that to show little kids?? I cried my eyes out and refused to watch the rest of the film! I still won't go to see the movie. My question now is --does anybody else feel this way? Am I being over sensitive to animals or what? As a (semi-)rational adult I can see that death is a normal part of life, but I still don't think that a movie aimed at little kids should show them such tramatic (sp?) situations. My experience at "Bambi" was almost precisely the same - I cried so hysterically when Bambi's mother died that I had to be taken out to the lobby. I'm afraid to see it again, although also would be curious as to what my reaction would be now as a grown-up. (Thanks for sharing - I've always thought perhaps it was just me.....). Darlene Vian
