A prof here bought SoftPC for his Mac IIcx hoping he would be able to execute programs that we have on our Novell file server. Well, he can access the programs okay, but all our software is set "execute only" so that curious students can't help themselves to copies of our software. Unfortunately, the execute only software does not load properly in SoftPC--i.e., it fails to load. Read-only software works fine, but we are not prepared to remove the execute-only status of our software to satisfy this one SoftPC user. Has anyone had similar experiences and can suggest a solution or a workaround to this problem? Any comments would be appreciated. -- Peter Steele, Microcomputer Applications Analyst Acadia University, Wolfville, NS, Canada B0P1X0 (902)542-2201x121 UUCP: {uunet|watmath|utai|garfield}!cs.dal.ca!aucs!Peter BITNET: Peter@Acadia Internet: Peter@AcadiaU.CA
