I just saw STII again and so I kept my eyes open for weird stuff: (i) In Kirk's apartment, when Bones comes by, it looks like there is a Commodore Pet computer in the background near the window. Is this true? What does VIC think about this? (ii)In the debated casket scene, I thought I too saw it open a crack. You can add that to the others who think they saw that too. (iii)Don't forget that in addition to Spock being in the new life "matrix", so was Khan. Does that leave an opening for him to come back?

But wasn't Khan blow to the very ends of the Universe? Even GENESIS would have a though time putting that mess together again.Of couse,Tatto could always scrap him of the wall and bring hime back to Fantasy Island. -Ben Walls sescct!bsw

As I understood it (and as has been said many times via this media), the Genesis device created life by rearranging the existing matrix into the new matrix. Thus, any preexisting life on the target would have its matrix rearranged. This could open a possibility for Khan (and, of course, Spock) to come back in another form.

During Spock's funeral, while Scotty is playing "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes, are his fingers moving? It didn't look like it.

I dont think Khan can come back. Remember that they were busy looking for a planet with no life on it at all. The reason was that GENESIS would destroy any life form that had been there when it was detonated. So Khan is ghan (sorry about that). The local trekkies say that Spocks coffin was a disarmed photon torpedo. Photon torpedos have no opening. Spock was transported into the coffin. He would have problems getting out again through a mechanism as simple as a door. Michael Wagner UofToronto Computing Services
