Recently, I posted a request for info on the IBM PS/2 30-286. As of today, I am "upgrading" to a 386 that I've found for about the same price. I wish to say thanks to everyone that responded and especially those of you that gave me some ideas on other areas to look (the one I'm getting is a Gateway 386, 16Mhz, 65Meg HD, 2Meg RAM, 3.5" 1.44 FD, 5.25" 1.2 FD, VGA board and a monitor to support it, MSDOS 4.01, plus a 2400b modem for under $2500). However, my question is this: I need a pascal and c compiler (and probably get ahold of turbo pascal and turbo c as well), plus other public domain software that I can find from SMITEL20 (or any of the ftp sites I've heard of recently). Now, my question is this: How does one download through ftp? Am I going to have to go through all this extra crap of downloading it to my account here at CSD4, and then KERMIT'ing the stuff to my pc? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -stevelee- |-------------------------------|--------------------------------------------| | Steven Lee Pearson | Generic Disclaimer: All opinions expressed| | stevelee@csd4.csd.uwm.edu | here are my own.
