We've got a bunch of PCs running DOS and PCs running OS/2 on a token-ring network running IBM's PC LAN software and the OS/2 LAN software. We've also got an IBM 6157-002 tape drive. We know how to backup to the tape drive on the machine to which it is attached (via "SYTOS" software). We've got NOTHING which would allow us to backup to this tape drive from a CLIENT machine on the net. The only solution we can find is to make EVERY machine on the net a SERVER, and let the machine with the tape be a CLIENT to everyone. The trouble with this is that we really don't want to have 100 SERVERs!
