Does anyone know how to use extended memory from 640K - 1 Mb as a RAM Disk. VDISK only has an option for using extended memory above 1MB. Is there another RAM disk driver that will do the job? Betty Harvey David Taylor Research Center 202-227-4901 harvey@nems.dt.nav.mil

I used to run vdisk.sys in extended memory on a PC's Limited 286/12 which only had one mb of ram, and it was definitely in extended memory (Using PC-DOS 3.1).

You shouldn't really have any memory between 640k and 1Mb. This memory is for the screen, and the ROM Bios. If you have a computer with 1 Mb memory, you either have 384kb extended memory, or a very incompatible computer. K H Gan - Rotterdam - The Netherlands

So, many of us have *very incompatible* compatible computers, since we have 1MB memory and no extended but 384K shadow RAM. I am confused, please HELP! --- Leo
