[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Looking for VI editor clone

dcripe@urbana.mcd.mot.com (Dan Cripe) (10/09/89)

I'm looking for a public domain or shareware vi editor clone. I REALLY
don't want to use two different editors (one at work and one at home), and
I just can't seem to force myself to use emacs. Even STEVIE would be OK.
Binary or source (Turbo C) is fine. I'll soon have ftp access again, so a
pointer to an appropriate archive site would be wonderful.

		Thanks,
		Dan Cripe

I work for Motorola, Inc. Motorola may or may not agree with my opinions.

I've heard about Stevie, but I have no idea where you can get it from.

If you can afford a commercial version, try Mortice Kern Systems, 35

other reimplementations of UNIX(R) system tools) is $249. MKS VI alone
is $149. Site licenses and quantity discounts are available (as are
re-implementations of lex, yacc, make, and some "revision control
system", and OS/2 versions of all of the above).

This software is also available via Programmer's Connection (a mail

I'm not speaking for the company, I'm just speaking my mind.
My only relation with MKS is one of a satisfied customer.
