I recently purchased a used AT machine and after messing around with it I
found a card that I could use some help identifying.
It appears to be a memory expansion card of some sort, but the AT came with
no drivers or anything unusual on the HD. The only clue (besides the
description of the card which follows) is that the norton index drops from
14.7 to 14.4 with the card removed. The amount of memory (both base and
expanded) remains the same regardless of whether the card is in or not.
The clues to the mystery card are:
An Intel board (it says so at the top)
full size with the split bus connector
contains 72 MCM6256AP12 chips in 9 8-chip rows
contains a large chip (looks like a 286 chip) with the id
300770-002
TC17G042AT
the back side has a bar code sticker with EB980806G72 on it
the codes PII-M1 and 300347-004 molded into the board
If anyone can tell me exactly what this board is and where I can get a
driver or whatever I need to make it do whatever it does I will be very
happy.
