A while ago, I managed to come across a very unique thing on my IBM: A directory that was hidden and protected. I know how to hide and protect files but not directories! If I wanted to do this, would I have to use debug (or similar program) to edit the access bits for the directory by editing its listing in the FAT? Are there any programs that would do this for me? If anyone out there has one, I would be very greatful if they could send it to me somehow (assuming it is PD, of course.) If you would be willing, please email me at sfn20715@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu. Mucho thanks in advance.

If anyone out there has one, I would be very greatful The attribute changers that I use work on directories, Norton's should work as should most others. Note that a hidden directory is fully accessible. I often hide . and .. just to reduce the complexity of directoy listings somewhat. >if they could send it to me somehow (assuming it is PD, of course.) >If you would be willing, please email me at sfn20715@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu. >Mucho thanks in advance.
