I have two questions that I would appreciate if someone could provide whatever answers are out there: 1. Is there a program for AT CMOS setup that will automatically 'populate' the CMOS with parameters from a file, as opposed to the usual interactive setup? I have a friend who isn't very computer literate, using an AT which seems to lose its setup info periodically (even with new batteries...) and I'd like to give him a floppy he can boot in "A:" and will automatically reload his CMOS setup with no input from him. Am I dreaming? Anyone know why this machine would lose the setup info for no 'apparent' reason (loose connection?). 2. Is it possible to run 2 hard disk controllers in a 386 class machine at the same time? The controllers in question are WD 1006V-SR2 (RLL) and 1006V-MM2 (MFM). The RLL controller will have 2 drives (if possible) for DOS and the MFM controller will have one drive for another operating system (*NIX). If this is possible, can I only boot from the first drive on the first controller or can I boot from either controller? [Someone told me that controllers can be configured as a 'second' controller in a system...I haven't been able to check the manual from WD yet]. I think I may be dreaming on this one too. Thanks for any help or advice you may have! -- Dave Mundhenk [...!att!lc15a!doc] EMAIL: ...!att!lc15a!doc | "I can't complain but | /^, VOICE: (201)-580-4943 | sometimes I still do"| / } _, , , __ #include <std.disclaimer> | - Joe Walsh | /_./ (_l |/ <~_
