[comp.sys.ibm.pc] CPM to IBM File Conversion

I need to transfer some text files from a CPM microcomputer to the
MS-DOS environment.  Does anyone have any clues for the best way
to accomplish this?  Is it as simple as joining the micros via null
modem serial cable and using Kermit?  Or is there more to it than
that?
