I am using JANUS Ada V.2.1.2, the newest version. It is an outstanding and
fully validated compiler for a *best* price of about $240, with $60 maintenance
fee (which I guess is optional, although I got it to ensure that I would
receive all updates that came down the line).

Your PC/XT/AT must have 570,000 bytes free to run JANUS, even if you have
to set up a separate autoexec and/or config.sys files for running JANUS.

I only had 534,000 bytes under MSDOS 4.01 (running a 1024K disk cache and
numerous drivers and so forth) and had to lean the system a bit to achieve
the 570,000-byte level (as reported by MEM or CHKDSK). I'm now running
about 585,000 bytes free for the JANUS configuration.

There seems to be tremendous ongoing development of the package and support
is apparently great, as well. Check it out....
