I posted a msg earlier about the "1701B Controller #0 error" HARDCARD problem on my PC. I have talked to PLUS and I am impressed with the way they wish to fix this in-warranty problem: They are shipping me a replacement which I should have in 48 hours. They ask I ship mine back, federal express, at their expense after I get the replacement up and running. They will give me a 2 year warranty on the replacement 40meg card. They asked when I bought it and wanted its serial number. The serial number told them it was made in 11/88, clearly in warranty. They tell me they have sold 'millions' of hardcards over the years. Given their handling of my problem, I can now see why. They say the 40meg has been out 2 1/2 years and they are starting to see the problem I described here and there. They are genuinely concerned about my problem, apparently its unusual (to them) and they plan to take my hardcard apart and see what is going on. Anyway, I'm annoyed I have this problem but I am still a happy customer of PLUS. They clearly pride themselves on service. Another satisfied customer. joec@morgan.com
