[net.movies] flame on ST2 and E.T. discussion

It seems to me that we need a revitalization in this newsgroup.
I mean, its all right to discuss plot quirks of ST2 or E.T.,
but lately I don't see much else.  I hope I am not blaspheming,
but I take it for granted that these movies are not self-consistent.
That isn't their purpose.

If no one can think of any substantial
topics of discussion for these movies, then perhaps that
is a judgement of their quality (don't get me wrong, I liked them,
I just think the bulk of the discussion on these movies is
lacking in substance).
