[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Can you trick a program into thinking there's a mouse ?

Is there any way that you can simulate the presence of a mouse if you
don't have one? Are there any PD drivers available that will let you
substitute the arrow keys for a mouse but make the program you're
running think that there is a real mouse? I know Windows will let you
do something like this but I have an ordinary graphic based
application that won't run unless a mouse is present. I know, I
should just get a mouse but I only need it for this one program.
