The quote "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times " is the first line from A TALE OF TWO CITIES, as is the line "It is a far, far better thing I do now than I have done before..." The second line is said by Sidney Carton before losing his head at the guillotine. The referance to the Dickens' classic is very apt in the movie. While Kirk spouts Dickens, Khan gives us Milton from from PARADISE LOST. The line in the movie which I don't recall exactly is a reference to hell.
