Seeing Bambi was a traumatic experience for me.  During the forest fire
scene, I was in hysterics.  It was a terrible thing for a little kid to
see!

Bambi's mother was killed by a hunter when she acted as a decoy to save Bambi.

Personally, I never saw the movie.  Are there multiple versions of
the classic flick running around?  Usenetters can't seem to agree on
the means of the demise of Bambi's mother.  Then again, are the memories
growing dim with the passing of time?

``Bambi meets Godzilla'' gets my vote as the best short film of all time.
