[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Unusual EGA/VGA modes

jwbirdsa@phoenix.Princeton.EDU (James Webster Birdsall) (11/01/89)

Can anybody give me pointers on the following:

   1) How to get into 43/50 line mode.

   2) How to tell if I'm in 43/50 line mode.

   3) How to produce 360x480@256 graphics mode on a VGA. This can be
done with a standard VGA, but it isn't supported by the BIOS. I have no
particular desire to try to figure out the CRTC parameters myself when I
know that it's been done before. Especially since errors could be
nasty...

   Thanks.

Som source code in Pascal and C to do this and a 320x400x256 mode was
posted in comp.graphics a few days ago.
