SPOILER!!!! Nobody seems to have noticed that Spock actually died twice in the movie. The first time was in the simulator when most of the bridge crew appeared dead. Could it be that the rest of the movie also took place in a simulator? I know - that seems excessive. Let's assume it was all real. Remember in "Annihilate" (I think) where Spock was blinded? All of a sudden he got better because of a normally ignored blindness shield in Vulcans' eyes. Why can't they also have a radiation shield that nobody knew about? If I were Kirk, I would have placed a communicator in Spock's coffin just in case. But then, Kirk wasn't always too sharp this time out. Does anyone know what Spock was really doing when he was fixing the warp drive? Was he jump starting it or something? Assuming that the problem could only be fixed from within that little room, why wasn't there already someone in there with a radiation suit on. If it took Spock less than three minutes to fix it why couldn't someone else have been working on it the whole time it was out? Or is that the type of repair that can only be done in a space dock by robots. One final idea. For Kirk's amusement he should go to the planet where he left Harry Mudd. He could make an android Khan which would shut up when he told it to. Scott Orshan
