In our lab we have an IBM AT with an IBM external 720K 3.5" floppy drive attached. Everything was working fine for over a year, when one of our users deleted the AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files on the machine's boot disk. These files were not recoverable, so I installed some pretty generic replacements. Now, not surprisingly, the 3.5" drive, which was installed as drive D, is not recognized (good old 'Invalid drive specification'). They guy who installed the drive is long gone, and goodness knows where any documentation is. Does someone out there know what commands are needed in the AUTOEXEC and/or CONFIG files to make the drive work again? -- Curtis W.
