Can somebody please insight me with some information on FAX boards/modems for
the IBM PC and AT? I would also like information on such a board that would
work from SCO Xenix 286 if possible. Also, I don't want to deal with any of
the boards that don't like COM1 or COM2 installed. I've heard that there are
some FAX boards out there that won't work if any serial ports are enabled.
I don't want such a board in my AT clone. I want something that I just
install once and will operate nicely with everything already installed with
no conflicts over IRQ's, etc.
The board should at least allow me to have COM1 and I give up COM2 for the
FAX board. Is this asking too much from the current FAX boards on the market?
