Does anyone know if the newer versions of DOS (4.0 due at the end of '86 and
5.0 due early '87) are out yet and any information about them? 4.0 is
supposed to be multitasking while 5.0 is supposed to support multiple users as
well as multitask.

DOS 4.0 will only be available to OEM's and the like. DOS 5.0 (IBM or MS) is
supposed to be out in the latter half of the 2nd quarter or the 1st half of
the 3rd quarter of this year. Double-speak does have its moments!

Cheers!

Excuse, for i am just beginning in dos.
How does one do a byte by byte copy of a 1.2 Mb floppy
so that each set of corresponding bytes have the same value?
how do you do this on dos?

 Much thanks for help,
