I'm thinking about upgrading from CGA to either EGA or VGA in the near future. (Actually, EGA in the near future or holding out until January and going for VGA then.) I'm looking for recommendations of EGA and/or VGA cards, as well as VGA-capable monitors. E-mail, please; if enough interest is expressed, I'll post a summary. Why don't you get a VGA card now? They are only about $20 more than EGA cards. Also a low end VGA monitor is cheaper than an EGA monitor, REALLY! When you ask for reviews of VGA products you MUST specify what price range you are interested in. For example you can get a VGA card for as cheap as $120, and they go up to $3-4 thousand! Do you want speed? cheap price? resolution? Good documentation ? There are 16bit VGA cards available that support 1024x768 resolution for as cheap as $140! They are usually made in taiwan and have terrible documentation, but they do the job. You should narrow down what you are interested in a little more before asking for reviews. -- ]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]] TIM SIMMONS (408)434-2843 Unisys Network Computing Group - San Jose CA tims@starfish.convergent.com
